Why you should use the message system

The messaging system on this website has been designed to make communication between guests and hosts simple, safe, and centralised. We strongly encourage all members to use it.

Your privacy is protected

The messaging system allows you to contact other members without sharing your personal email address or phone number. You stay in control of your personal details until you are ready to share them.

All your messages are in one place

Every message you send or receive is stored in your inbox on the site. You can access your full conversation history at any time from your Dashboard. Messages cannot be lost — even if you delete emails from your personal inbox, your messages remain safely on the site.

You will always be notified

When you receive a new message, we send you an email notification so you never miss a reply. You can then log in to read and respond at your convenience.

We can help if something goes wrong

If a dispute or concern arises, our admin team can review the message history and step in to help. This is only possible if communication has taken place through the on-site messaging system.

Read receipts

You can see whether the person you contacted has read your message. In your Sent folder, each message shows either a Read status or Unread if it has not yet been opened.

Be cautious of anyone who asks you to communicate exclusively outside the site — by personal email, WhatsApp, or phone — before any agreement has been reached. Using the on-site messaging system protects both guests and hosts.
